Hubsan X4 H109 November 21 2013
It would seem that after completely dominating the micro quadcopter market with superior product, the good folks over at Hubsan have now focused on the larger mainstream quadcopter arena, competing against the likes of products like the DJI Phantom Vision.
While not a lot of details are known as of yet about the 109 (or the Cylon as it's affectionately known already), here's what we do know:
- Completely Ready to Fly
- GPS Auto Pilot function
- Compass sensor
- GPS Return to Home (RTH)
- Stable Mode with GPS and altitude Hold
- Flight time around 25 minutes
- Failsafe to return home & Landing
- Low voltage protection
- TX (FPV TX or Normal TX with Hubsan standard)
- Brushless motor KV2000
- Battery:7.4V 2200mAh Lipo
- 5.8Ghz FPV system (option)
- 1080P HD camera (option)
- Motor to motor distance:200mm
While there is no confirmed release date, Hubsan has confirmed that they are currently scheduled to begin production in January 2014. If their past history is any indicator, we should see the 109 by Christmas 2014.
The current guesstimate to cost? A mere $300 for the base model. Of course, with all the video camera upgrades, gimbles, and other bells and whistles, I could see this quadcopter reaching $1000 quickly.
